Jim Rollins is a multi-faceted performer. He can perform in a wide variety of styles and formats: solo piano and voice, jazz ensembles (duos, trios, etc.), up to an 11 piece orchestra. From light classical to jazz to classic rock, Jim's appeal and success is due to his versatility. One moment, he can enchant you with a beautiful Gershwin ballad. The next moment, he can rock out with a Billy Joel hit. His first love is the American Song Book; composers like George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Johnny Mercer, Rodgers and Hart, to mention only a few. Having grown up in the 60's and 70's, Jim also has a great fondness for The Beatles, Billy Joel, Elton John, Burt Bacharach and other baby boomer Top 40's artists. And of course, we can't forget the hits from the great musicals and movie themes: "Les Mis", "Phantom of the Opera", "Sweeney Todd", "Somewhere in Time" and on and on.
Jim also collaborates with other talented artists in ensemble shows. He has performed French-themed shows, as well as shows highlighting the works of such musical greats as Johnny Mercer, Peter Allen, Michel LeGrand, and George and Ira Gershwin.
